September 2003
Another new month, just where does the time go to?
The Bach Flower Remedies are working so well on Thomas that he has started to make eyes at Misty from next door, getting quite flirtatious! He rolls about on his back with eyes continually on her. It's quite sweet really. Only problem is the reaction he gets! She spits and growls at him something chronic. I don't know what it is about Thomas, maybe he has the cat equivalent of BO and Halitosis but none of the other cats, apart of course from Runcie, ever seem to take to him :-(
The colder weather has started, this morning there were little patches of ice on the flat roof puddles left over for the torrential rain we had yesterday, not at ground level it's true but even so, it's still September! It may have it's benefits though, Georgie has taken to staying out until all hours during the warmer weather so perhaps she will start to be more of a homebody once it gets colder. They're all off on their holidays shortly (sssh, don't tell them, it's a surprise) as I am preparing for colder weather and having oil central heating instead of the electric storage heaters that were in the cottage when I moved in last year.
All 3 went off yesterday after a bit of resistance. They will all be in together which could be interesting, it is a compartment that sleeps 5 so there should be ample room for them to avoid each other. Whilst I was helping to get them into the car Misty took the opportunity to go in and have an explore without the risk of opposition. I thought for a split second that I had left one behind. She had a good look round then I shooed her out.
Today is the day the upheaval starts, 8.30am to be precise. Misty came round again but I made sure she didn't go inside this time.
